I've since been back, and that - if you were to ask those who know me - speaks volumes. A small barber shop in the High Street Arcade with a few chairs and - when I've been in - great tunes. Everyone's really nice and friendly, and the cutting service is excellent; attentive, no rush, no hassle, and NOT a case of "this is how we cut hair, regardless of what you ask for". Far from it; the gents are great! Tattoo studio upstairs, but I haven't ventured up there. Maybe I should...? Extra delight in the presence of a shop dog ”
“ Walked in at 9:30 to ask about availability, and due to cancellation could be seen to immediately. Miles was great and made me feel comfortable immediately - I had never had someone neaten my beard up before and had a poor experience from another salon in Cardiff. Miles was professional throughout and gave me 10/10 beard trim and hair cut. The shop is chilled atmosphere with very cool aesthetic. If you’re in South Wales looking for a barber, I couldn’t recommend swyd highly enough ”
“ Only barbers I'm willing to use on my trips to see family from Norway. All the staff are top notch and friendly. Last time I visited was in April (it being August at the time of writing) Oscar, remembered not only what I was aiming for but also that I'm very touchy on who I allow to trim my beard. Priced very well, but still recommend tipping to show your appreciation for a bloody good job! Latest visit on 05/09/2023 Booked in with Dan for a cut and beard trim. Super happy with the cut and trim, as usual the shop was relaxed and happy! As per my last visit quality, friendly staff who project the confidence in their skill without the arrogance. Definitely worth the visit, and will be whenever I'm over in Wales. Just a shame its only once a year I'm able to drop in... ”
